Oak hardwood planks being fitted on a prepared subfloor

Flooring & Carpet

Ready for Hardwood?

New hardwood, or replacing a floor that didn’t last. We’ll match the install method to the product and the room.

What’s going on with the floor

Solid and engineered hardwood are not installed the same way. Nail-down, glue-down, and floating engineered installs are matched to the product, the subfloor, and the room’s moisture conditions. Existing-floor removal, acclimation, and trim are settled before a start date is set. Deciding whether to refinish what you have instead? See Refinish Hardwood Floors or Replace Them?.

What customers usually call us for

  • Method matched to the species and product, not a single default
  • Prep and moisture-barrier work written into the quote
  • Fits new construction, remodels, and vacant property resets

Common questions

Can every hardwood product be nailed down?
