FAQ
Company
What kind of work do you do?
Flooring and carpet, painting and finishes, commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning, exterior washing, property cleanouts and turnovers, commercial floor care, deeper residential cleaning jobs, and mounting or assembly work. If you’re not sure who to call — water, fire, mold, a crawlspace, tear-out, ceilings — start on Property Damage & Specialty Help. We’ll say what we handle and what needs a specialist.
Do you work on homes and businesses?
Yes. Homeowners, landlords, restaurants, offices, churches, and property managers all come through the same company. Kitchen exhaust work is for commercial kitchens. Small setup jobs travel a shorter distance than larger property projects.
Where do you work?
Throughout South Carolina. Larger jobs, commercial kitchen exhaust, property projects, and multi-location accounts may also take us into North Carolina and nearby states. Send the city. If we can get there, we’ll say so.
Do you list prices online?
No. Every job is different. Photos, the address, and a short description are enough to start a quote.
What photos and details help you quote faster?
City or address, a short description of what you want done, and a few clear photos of the problem or rooms. For floors: the field plus the worst area. For turnovers: each room and leftover debris. For kitchen exhaust: the hood line and, if you can, the rooftop fan. Up to a few photos on the quote form is enough to start - you do not need a perfect album.
Can one request cover more than one service?
Yes. Paint, floors, cleaning, haul-out, exterior washing, and related make-ready lines can go on the same request when they belong together. Landlords can also start from landlords and property managers. Specialty water, mold, or crawlspace questions belong on Property Damage & Specialty Help.
Do you handle licensed trade work?
We stay within the services we advertise. If something needs a separately licensed trade or falls outside what we do, we’ll tell you rather than pretend otherwise.
If this relates to an insurance claim, do you handle the claim?
No. Your insurer decides coverage and payment. We can help document the repair need, quote eligible work, and explain ordinary next steps. Start on Insurance Claim Repair Help.
FAQ
Commercial
Can you walk the site before quoting?
Yes. For restaurants, offices, churches, and multi-building properties, a walk-through is often the best way to quote. Photos can get it started when access is tight.
Can you work after we close?
Often, yes. Tell us when the building is free and we’ll try to work around your hours.
Can one message cover several locations?
Yes. Note how many locations you have. Each site may still need its own look, but you don’t have to start over for every address.
FAQ
Residential
Is this weekly house cleaning?
No. This is the deeper work — carpets, grout, dryer vents, move-out cleaning, floors, painting, exterior washing, and setup — not a recurring maid service.
Can I send photos instead of waiting for a visit?
Please do. A few photos of the floor, stain, siding, or room usually get a quote moving faster.
Do you work in occupied homes?
Yes. Occupied jobs take a little more care and a realistic room-by-room plan. Vacant homes can often move faster.
Should I repair or replace damaged carpet?
Localized burns, tears, open seams, or ripples can sometimes be repaired when there is a matching donor and the backing is still sound. Widespread matting, odor in the pad, or backing that has failed usually means replacement is the cleaner job. Read repair carpet or replace it, then send photos on the quote form.
FAQ
Landlords & property managers
Do you provide full property management?
We handle the property work. We don’t advertise units, place tenants, or collect rent.
Can one message cover several units?
Yes. Add each address, or upload a property list. Each unit may still need its own look, but you do not have to start a new message for every door.
Do you work in occupied rentals?
Yes, when access is arranged. Vacant units can often move faster. Tell us whether utilities are on and how we get in.
Will you send photos when the job is done?
Completion photos and notes can be included with the work so you have a record without another trip to the property.
Can you help with pet odor after a tenant leaves?
Often, yes - as a make-ready line when the odor is in carpet, pad, or surfaces we can treat or replace. Widespread odor in pad or subfloor may mean replacement instead of cleaning. Heavy biohazard and mold remediation are not offered. Send photos and describe what you smell on the landlords page.
Can flooring, paint, and cleaning go on one turnover request?
Yes. Cleaning, haul-out, paint, carpet or hardwood work, and related make-ready lines can share one request when they belong in the same access window. See rental property turnovers or start from landlords and property managers.
FAQ
Flooring & Carpet
Can you always repair instead of replace?
No. Burns, pet damage, cupping, and failed subfloors sometimes make replacement the honest option. We’ll quote a repair when it will last, and say so when it won’t. For carpet decisions see repair or replace carpet. For hardwood see refinish or replace hardwood.
What photos help you quote flooring work?
A wide shot of the room, a close-up of the worst wear or damage, stairs if they are in scope, and whether the space is occupied. Leftover carpet or product info helps when a repair is possible.
Do you sell the flooring?
Sometimes. You can provide the material, or we can include it when that’s cleaner. It depends on the job.
Do you work in occupied homes and businesses?
Yes. Lived-in spaces take more protection and a slower plan. Empty properties can often move faster.
FAQ
Painting & Finishes
Do you paint cabinets?
Yes. Cabinet painting is quoted from the material, the number of doors and drawers, and whether the work can be done on site. Send photos of the cabinets and we’ll tell you what we can do.
Do you repair large drywall damage?
Small patches that belong with the paint job are included. Big drywall rebuilds are a different job — tell us what you’re looking at, or see Drywall & Ceiling Repair for larger holes.
Can you paint while people are living there?
Yes. Occupied work takes more protection and a room-by-room plan.
FAQ
Kitchen Exhaust & Restaurant Services
What’s included in a hood cleaning?
The accessible exhaust path: hood, plenum, duct, fan, filters, and rooftop grease we can reach. We’ll tell you if something can’t be accessed until hardware is added.
Can you work after we close?
That’s the usual window. Tell us when the line is down and how we get in.
Do you install hinge kits and grease pads?
Yes. Fan hinge kits, safety cables, grease-containment pads, and filter swaps can be quoted with the cleaning.
Is fire-suppression work included?
No. We clean the exhaust path and handle access hardware. Fire-system inspection and service stays with that contractor.
How often should a hood be cleaned?
There is not one universal interval. It depends on cooking volume, grease buildup, locally adopted requirements, and insurer or facility rules. We quote a visit or a schedule - we do not invent a required interval. See what gets cleaned during commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning.
What documentation do we get after a hood cleaning?
Service notes and photos of the sections we could reach. Unreachable sections belong in the notes. That is not a fire-marshal inspection or an NFPA compliance stamp from Wilke.
FAQ
Exterior Cleaning
Do you wash roofs?
Yes. Roof washing is quoted for the surfaces that can take it.
Can you clean a shopping center or restaurant exterior?
Yes. Storefronts, sidewalks, drive-thru lanes, dumpster pads, and loading areas are regular commercial quotes.
Will you repair my roof or gutters?
We clean those surfaces. Repair and installation stay with a roofer or gutter contractor.
FAQ
Property Turnover & Cleanouts
What should I send so you can quote a unit?
Address, bedroom count, photos of the worst rooms, how much debris is left, and the date you need it ready.
In what order should turnover work happen?
A practical order is repairs and haul-out first, then paint, then flooring, with final cleaning last. Access and drying time can change that. Walk the unit with the rental turnover checklist.
Can flooring be included?
Yes. Carpet cleaning or repair, hardwood work, LVP, or tile and grout can go on the same request.
Do you take eviction or hoarding cleanouts?
Volume and condition are quoted from photos or a walk-through. Heavy biohazard and regulated remediation are not offered.
FAQ
Commercial Specialty Cleaning
Do you staff nightly janitorial crews?
This is specialty and floor-care work, quoted by project or route — not a nightly staffing contract.
Can you cover multiple locations?
Yes. Multi-site work is quoted. Coverage is not assumed for every city we mention.
Can you work after closing?
Yes. Tell us when the building is free.
FAQ
Residential Specialty Cleaning
Is this weekly house cleaning?
No. We don’t offer recurring maid service. This is specialty cleaning and restoration work.
Can you remove every pet stain?
Some stains and odors improve. Some are in the pad or subfloor. We’ll treat what we can and tell you when replacement is the better path.
Do you clean occupied homes?
Yes. Occupied work needs more protection and a realistic room-by-room plan.
FAQ
Mounting, Assembly & Property Setup
Do you install new electrical outlets for a TV?
Surface-mounted cable concealment is fine. New outlets, in-wall power, plumbing, and wiring stay with those trades.
Can you assemble furniture if I don’t have the instructions?
Usually, if the parts are complete. Missing hardware or damaged pieces get called out instead of forced.
Will you come for one picture?
Small one-off hanging is quoted from the city and the rest of the list. Travel range depends on the overall project.
FAQ
Property Damage & Specialty Help
Do you handle all of this work yourself?
Not every specialty job. Wilke handles the property services that fit our scope. When a job needs a separately qualified specialist, we can review the request and, with your permission, may connect you with one independent provider.
Will you share my information with another company?
Only if the service needs an independent provider and you give us permission first. We don’t blast your details to a list of companies.
Can I send photos?
Yes. Photos often make it much easier to understand the problem before anyone comes out. Don’t enter an unsafe area or disturb suspected material to take them.
What if I don’t know what caused the problem?
You don’t have to diagnose it. Tell us what you’re seeing and where it’s happening.
Can Wilke handle repairs after water or fire damage?
Depending on the condition and scope, Wilke may be able to quote related flooring, painting, cleaning, or finish work after the property is ready for that work. Active water extraction, structural drying programs, and mold remediation are specialist work - tell us what you are seeing and we will say what we handle versus what needs a specialist.
What if this is an emergency?
If there is an active fire, a gas leak, live electricity, structural collapse, or any immediate danger, leave and call 911 or the utility. This website is not an emergency response line and does not dispatch standing restoration crews.
Can you help if insurance is involved?
Your insurer decides coverage and payment. We can help document the repair need, quote eligible Wilke work, and explain ordinary next steps. Start on Insurance Claim Repair Help.
Need a number for your property?
Send the form with photos. Quotes are written from the job — not guessed on this page.
