Dealing With Fire or Smoke Damage?
Smoke, soot, leftover water, or rooms that need attention after a fire? Tell us what happened. We’ll help figure out the next step and whether restoration needs a specialist.
We’ll say what Wilke can handle
If there is an active fire or immediate danger, leave the area and call 911. This website is not an emergency response line.
What’s going on
After a fire or smoke event, tell us what you’re seeing — smoke, soot, leftover water, or damaged rooms — and whether the fire department has cleared the building. We’ll help figure out the next step: what Wilke can look at later, and whether a restoration specialist is needed. If a specialist is needed, we’ll ask before sharing your information. Painting, flooring, or cleaning is quoted only when the property is actually ready for that work. If there is an active fire or immediate danger, leave and call 911. This page is a later request about the property, not fire-suppression service, fire investigation, or public adjusting. Kitchen exhaust cleaning is a different Wilke service. Wilke does not inspect, repair, or certify sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, or suppression systems, and does not run smoke-remediation crews.
Why people land here

Common questions
What kind of help can I request after fire or smoke damage?
Tell us about the smoke, soot, leftover water, or damaged rooms. We’ll look at the request, say what Wilke can handle later, and help with the next step if a restoration specialist is needed. Kitchen exhaust cleaning is a different Wilke service.
What details or photos should I send?
The address, whether the fire department has cleared the building, what you’re seeing now, and any photos you already have. Do not enter an unsafe area to take more photos.
What happens if the property needs a restoration specialist?
We’ll tell you first. Sharing your request with one independent provider happens only if you give permission. Wilke does not run smoke-remediation crews or act as a public adjuster.
Does Wilke service fire-suppression systems?
No. Sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, and suppression systems stay with a fire-protection contractor. This page is about damage to the property after a fire.
